Alvin Austin Attles Jr., known affectionately as "The Destroyer" during his playing days, was a pioneering figure in the NBA. His journey with the Warriors began in 1960 when the team was still based in Philadelphia. Attles moved with the team to the Bay Area, where he would become synonymous with Warriors basketball.
